Jeremy Varon takes pride in confronting challenges head-on when handling complex legal issues for his clients in civil litigation and white collar defense matters.
Before joining Larson, Jeremy was a staff attorney at The Legal Aid Society of New York City. He represented over 400 indigent defendants in trial-level criminal proceedings from arraignment to sentencing, frequently achieving non-criminal resolutions and dismissals. Jeremy also researched, wrote, and filed briefs on novel legal issues. As demonstrated through his unrelenting advocacy for clients of The Legal Aid Society, Jeremy firmly believes that his clients’ goals are paramount and approaches each case from every possible angle to achieve those goals.
During law school, Jeremy clerked in the Los Angeles and Oakland offices of the Federal Public Defender, where he wrote briefs on constitutional, evidentiary, sentencing, and appellate issues. He honed his writing skills by drafting orders on intellectual property, habeas corpus, and civil rights issues as a judicial extern to the Honorable Charles R. Breyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. As a certified law student in UCLA’s Veterans Justice Clinic and Bail Practicum, Jeremy represented low-income Angelenos and military veterans. He also served on the UCLA Criminal Justice Law Review as a staff editor.
