Alex Lowder handles his clients’ complex commercial and white collar matters with a dedicated and deft approach. Clients value his measured counsel and ability to effectively litigate and surmount the most contentious cases, ultimately delivering the optimal result.
Throughout his career, Alex has litigated matters for a range of clients—including financial service providers, global manufacturers, municipalities, media and entertainment companies, and celebrities—at both the trial and appellate levels. In his white collar defense practice, Alex represents individuals and corporations in federal and state investigations and prosecutions, including at trial. He has successfully resolved cases before charges were filed, had charges dropped or dismissed prior to trial, and obtained acquittals on two separate occasions.
In civil matters, Alex represents clients in complex contract disputes, business torts, employment disputes, and civil rights disputes. He focuses on resolving each case to his client’s advantage at the earliest opportunity, allowing them the freedom to focus their time and energy on their businesses and other interests. Alex has prevailed on motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment, and has facilitated favorable settlements for his clients.
Prior to joining Larson, Alex honed his practice at a litigation boutique in Los Angeles. In law school, he served as the Chairperson of the Appellate Moot Court Board, competed on the Appellate Moot Court National Team, and externed for the Office of the California Attorney General. Alex remains actively involved in the University of San Diego School of Law as an alum, currently serving as a board member of the Los Angeles Alumni Chapter and formerly serving on the Law Alumni Association Board for a decade. A lifelong athlete, he was a letter winner on the varsity men’s basketball team at Harvard University.
