Partner Alex Lowder and counsel Jen C. Won are recognized by Los Angeles Business Journal as among the city’s most influential attorneys from backgrounds that are underrepresented in the legal profession.

The “Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys” special section honors the “particularly superb attorneys” in the Los Angeles region who happen to be minorities. They are, as highlighted in the publication, “particularly impactful on the legal scene, while serving as trusted advisors, along with maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards.”

Alex’s profile features his broad client base, including financial service providers, global manufacturers, municipalities, media and entertainment companies, and celebrities. Los Angeles Business Journal highlights his white collar criminal defense and commercial litigation practices, noting how he represents individuals and corporations against white collar matters at both the trial and appellate levels, and represents clients in complex contract disputes, business torts, and civil rights disputes.

Jen’s career path as a bilingual attorney is highlighted in her profile, starting with her first position at an Am Law 200 firm in Chicago and her move to Los Angeles to clerk for the Honorable Larry A. Burns of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Los Angeles Business Journal features her white collar and government investigations defense practice and notes that she has taken on many of Larson’s high-profile, sensitive investigations for corporate clients facing regulatory challenges.

Larson congratulates Alex, Jen, and all of this year’s nominees on being recognized for keeping “the people and businesses of Los Angeles on the right track” when it comes to promoting and increasing diversity in the legal profession.
