Four New Associates Join Larson

Larson is pleased to announce that Andrew Beshai, Ben Falstein, Anissa Ghafarian, and Sara A. Morse joined the firm as associates.

Andrew joined Larson from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California where he worked in the criminal division. After nearly half a decade litigating in federal courts, Andrew has experience at every stage of litigation, from the initial investigation through motion practice and ultimately to trial and appeal. Andrew earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School, summa cum laude, his M. Ed. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and his B.A. from the University of California, Irvine, cum laude.

Ben worked as a litigation fellow at the National Whistleblower Center (NWC) before joining Larson. While in law school, he served as an executive editor of the Georgetown Law Journal and helped produce the 50th edition of the Journal’s Annual Review of Criminal Procedure––one of the nation’s foremost treatises on criminal law. Ben earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Anissa comes from a large international firm in New York where she was an associate. She became actively involved with pro bono and worked on a class action focusing on human rights violations. She also led several immigration matters for which she was honored with the Excellent Law Firm Award from the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP). Anissa earned her J.D. from the University of Southern California (USC) Gould School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, magna cum laude.

A recent law school graduate, Sara worked as a law clerk and participated in USC Gould’s Post-Conviction Justice Project (PCJP) before joining Larson. As a certified law student for PCJP, she represented California life-term inmates at parole suitability and resentencing hearings, obtaining early paroles for two of her clients who had successfully rehabilitated in prison. Sara earned her J.D. from USC Gould School of Law, her M.S. from The London School of Economics and Political Science with merit, and her B.A. from the University of San Francisco, magna cum laude. *Sara is awaiting her California bar exam results.

“Andrew, Ben, Anissa, and Sara all have unique backgrounds in complex civil litigation and white collar defense that will further strengthen our practices. We are excited to welcome them to Larson.”
