Larson is pleased to announce that Kimberly E. Barreto, Chloë N. Coleman, and Alix Zelener joined the firm as associates.
Kim joined Larson from a criminal defense firm where a large share of her practice focused on university Title IX sexual misconduct allegations in the university administrative disciplinary proceedings and in subsequent litigation. She also clerked for several well-respected law firms specializing in civil appeals, giving her a unique perspective in representing plaintiffs and defendants in all types of matters at trial and on appeal. Kim earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School and her B.S. from Northeastern University.
Chloë worked as a legal fellow at Freddie Mac before joining Larson. During law school, she gained experience through various civil litigation matters as a summer associate at law firms in Texas and Oklahoma, and she spent time in the Conviction Review Unit of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and at the Georgia Resource Center. Chloë earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law and her B.A. from Texas Christian University.
With a background in broadcast journalism, Alix previously worked as a legal intern at NBC Universal during law school. She was also a summer associate at a boutique civil litigation firm in Chicago, where she wrote a petition for leave to appeal to the Illinois Supreme Court for the plaintiff in Doe v. Hastert against the former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. Alix earned her J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and her B.S. from Utah State University, magna cum laude.
“Kim, Chloë, and Alix bring unique experiences and skills, as well as an unwavering dedication to client service, that will greatly benefit our complex civil litigation, white collar defense, and appellate practices. We are thrilled to welcome them to the firm.”
