Larson is pleased to announce that Robert (“Bob”) Ruyak, one of the nation’s most experienced and respected litigators and trial advocates, has joined the firm as a partner in Washington, D.C.
Bob has served as lead and first-chair trial counsel in dozens of complex, high-stakes cases for four decades. With a focus on protecting and enhancing his clients’ competitive interests, he handles a diverse array of antitrust, competition, and patent litigations. Bob also represents both plaintiffs and defendants in class action, insurance recovery, shareholder, and contract disputes, as well as individuals and corporations in civil and criminal investigations and cases.
Throughout his career, Bob has been recognized both for his success in the courtroom and for promoting innovations in law practice management. In addition to being listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for patent litigation, Bob was named a “legal innovator” as a recipient of the Legal Times Visionary Award.
Prior to joining Larson, Bob co-founded a nationally recognized technology and competition law boutique. He previously gained decades of experience as a partner at an Am Law 100 firm and the managing partner of a global intellectual property and litigation firm. In addition to his client work, Bob has been an active member on the boards of his alma maters and he is one of the founders of the Catholic Charities Pro Bono Legal Network in Washington, D.C.

Bob earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from Gannon University. Following law school, he served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable John J. Sirica of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
