The San Diego Superior Court confirmed the arbitration award issued by arbitrator and former U.S. District Judge Irma E. Gonzalez in favor of Larson client Mercer Global Advisors, Inc. (“Mercer”) in a contract and trade secret dispute.

Mercer, a leading financial advisory firm, brought the arbitration against two former advisors who departed the company in 2019 for positions with a competitor. Judge Gonzalez held that the former advisors breached their employment agreements with Mercer and the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing by using confidential company information. Partners Paul A. Rigali and Emilie J. Zuccolotto successfully represented Mercer in the three-day arbitration before Judge Gonzalez, obtaining a seven-figure arbitration award in Mercer’s favor.
