Eurasian National Resources Corporation (ENRC) is seeking $290 million in damages from the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) over the SFO’s misconduct throughout a now-closed investigation into the corporation and its executives, including Larson’s client. The SFO’s notable mishandling of investigation caused significant financial harm to the company and its executives. The investigation, which began in 2013, was marred by breaches of duty and mismanagement of information. A U.K. court found that former Dechert partner Neil Gerrard had privately met with the SFO on 30 occasions and disclosed information without ENRC’s permission. The Larson attorneys Stephen Larson, David Byrne, Inga Ludewig, Paul Rigali, and Daniel Lahana have represented an ENRC executive since 2016.
