Jett Mickelson’s practice draws on experience from across the federal judiciary, the U.S. Department of Justice, and a broad range of litigation matters, including service in multiple federal courts and government offices.

Jett Mickelson’s practice draws on experience from across the federal judiciary, the U.S. Department of Justice, and a broad range of litigation matters, including service in multiple federal courts and government offices.

He recently served as a law clerk to Magistrate Judge Amanda Leigh Maxfield of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, where he contributed to matters involving civil rights claims, habeas petitions, discovery disputes, and other federal litigation.

Before entering private practice, Jett gained experience across multiple federal courts and agencies. During law school, he externed for Magistrate Judge Zia M. Faruqui of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and for the National Security Section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, where his work included legal research and drafting on issues involving constitutional questions, evidentiary rules, attorneys’ fees, and civil forfeiture.

Jett also served as a law clerk with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio. His experience spans a broad range of litigation and regulatory issues, including commercial disputes, criminal law, and administrative law.

Jett is admitted only in Texas; his practice is limited to matters before federal courts and federal agencies, and/or under the supervision of members of Larson LLP admitted in the District of Columbia.
