Five New Associates Join Larson


 

Larson is pleased to announce that Andrew E. Calderón, James M. McNamara, Mary-Kate Poulin, Philip Tankovich, and Juliette Tran joined the firm as associates.

Andrew joined Larson from a large firm in Orange County where he was an associate handling lead litigation for civil disputes in state, federal, and foreign jurisdictions and in arbitration. He has also served international clients and worked with local counsel in foreign jurisdictions, including Mexico, to manage cross-border claims and disputes. Andrew earned his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law, and his B.A. from California State University, Long Beach, magna cum laude.

James was previously an associate for a litigation boutique in Los Angeles, where he worked on all aspects of mediation and trials. During law school, he externed for the Hon. William F. Fahey of the Los Angeles Superior Court. James earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California (USC) Gould School of Law, and his B.A. from Brown University.

Mary-Kate comes from a prominent litigation firm where she represented clients in federal and state courts before the International Trade Commission (ITC). During law school, Mary-Kate clerked for a litigation firm in Chicago, writing briefs on contractual disputes related to COVID-19. Mary-Kate earned her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School, magna cum laude, and her B.A. from Duke University.

Philip joined the firm following a clerkship with Hon. Frances M. Tydingco-Gatewood in the U.S.D.C for the District of Guam. Prior to his clerkship, Philip was an associate at a boutique in San Diego that specialized in complex commercial litigation and trade secrets litigation. As a former federal prosecutor, he won all five cases that he took to trial, led investigations with an array of federal law enforcement agencies, and successfully negotiated plea agreements. Philip earned his J.D. from the University of California (UC), Irvine School of Law, and his B.A. from Boston University.

Juliette brings years of experience from a mid-sized firm where she represented companies and labor unions in all stages of litigation. She started her legal career representing public entities and serving as Deputy City Prosecutor for several cities in the greater Los Angeles region where she prosecuted municipal code violations in criminal, civil, and administrative proceedings. Juliette earned her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law and her B.A. from UC, Irvine, magna cum laude.
