In her role as marketing director of Larson, Jil Rinne combines her enthusiasm for branding and persuasive messaging with insight into the legal industry. She applies this unique blend of skills to crafting effective and compelling stories about the people behind the firm.

Having spent the majority of her career in a law firm, Jil has developed a keen understanding of how lawyers think, work, and communicate.

A strategic and creative communicator, Jil works with the firm leadership to enhance Larson’s industry visibility and fulfill business development initiatives. She forms and executes the firm’s marketing strategy around providing substantive and useful insights for clients, while also increasing Larson’s recognition as a top litigation firm on a global level. Following a forward-thinking approach, Jil led the firm through a transformative and innovative rebrand and website redesign, which launched in January 2022. By managing all digital communications and overseeing and handling the firm’s involvement in publications, speaking engagements, sponsorships, and professional organizations, Jil provides her attorneys with the platforms they need to reach and best serve their clients.

Acting upon Larson’s core values, Jil guides the firm’s efforts to make an impactful and lasting effect on the local and legal communities. She identifies and facilitates community outreach opportunities for the firm throughout Los Angeles and in the legal profession, including initiatives to increase diversity in the law school pool. Jil also coordinates the firm’s pro bono program, through which attorneys and staff provide legal services to underserved individuals and families. As part of the firm’s participation in the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance (LFAA), the national coalition of law firms formed aiming to create large-scale, coordinated pro bono projects that address systemic racism, Jil serves as a co-chair of the Homelessness Working Group.

Prior to joining Larson, Jil managed the marketing and communications department at a litigation boutique. She is a member of the Legal Marketing Association (LMA) and most recently served on the task force developing the strategy and design of LMA’s new website. Jil began her career at two Am Law 100 firms in Boston before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a master’s degree in Communication Management. In her spare time, Jil can be found hiking and jogging around California, obsessing over musical theater, and satisfying her sweet tooth by baking seasonal desserts.
