Amber M. Sotomayor

Paralegal
  • BIOGRAPHY

Amber Sotomayor uses her strong interpersonal and organizational skills to support the litigation and trial teams at Larson LLP through complex commercial matters. She assists in all aspects of the discovery process, including witness and expert deposition preparation, document production and e-discovery, fact investigation and research, appellate practice, and trial preparation. In collaboration with other departments within the firm and outside vendors, Amber has helped increase technological and workflow efficiencies to the benefit of Larson LLP's clients, attorneys, and staff.

As a dedicated volunteer with Larson LLP's pro bono Adoption Project, Amber works effectively with clients of all backgrounds to finalize adoptions and petition to receive the appropriate levels of funding for families. She facilitates seamless communication between the attorney and client by executing virtual meetings and stays abreast of issues by conducting research and coordinating with social workers and other advocates throughout the adoption process.

Prior to earning her paralegal certificate and joining Larson LLP, Amber worked in education as a high school teacher for several years, during which time she fostered her acute ability to communicate, collaborate, and work well under pressure. Outside of law, Amber is continuously at work as a Summit Committee chair for InHerShoes, Inc., a nonprofit that takes "a stand for girls' freedom of expression, assertion of passion, and pursuit of possibility in every aspect of their lives." She is also a member of the Los Angeles Paralegal Association and her local chapter of Women in eDiscovery. Amber loves the beach and will one day decide to swim in the ocean.
