Partner Steven E. Bledsoe has been appointed to the U.S. Department of State’s bipartisan Cultural Property Advisory Committee.

On March 23, the president of the United States announced his intent to appoint Steven to this key position in his Administration.

Under the Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Cultural Property Advisory Committee leads the U.S. efforts to protect and preserve cultural heritage through cultural property agreements that promote stability, economic development, and good governance in other countries, while denying critical financing to terrorist organizations and other criminal networks that engage in illicit trade.

On Oct. 1, Steven was officially sworn into his public service role. He will serve on the Committee in addition to his trial practice for a three-year term.
