A group of former GM and Chrysler auto dealers will make their case in the Court of Federal Claims in a trial beginning on April 8, Law360 reported.

Approximately 300 dealers allege that the government took their businesses without compensation by forcing the car companies to shed more than 2,200 dealerships as a condition of financial assistance. They claim the U.S. government owes them $1 billion for rejecting their franchise agreements.

The dealers’ attorneys include Stephen G. Larson, Steven E. Bledsoe, and Lauren S. Wulfe of Larson O’Brien.
