National Asian Pacific American Bar Association

July 8, 2020 — Larson O'Brien is proud to announce that associate Angela C. Makabali has been selected to the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) 2020 Leadership Advancement Program.

Angela is joining a select group of 24 in-house counsel and law firm attorneys who have been recognized for their leadership potential within their organizations. NAPABA’s Leadership Advancement Program is a year-long experiential program designed to empower future leaders in the Asian Pacific American legal community by building the skills they need to step into their own leadership style.

Commencing in July 2020 and running through March 2021, the 2020 Leadership Advancement Program will initially feature a series of virtual meetings in place of the typical in-person meetings of past years. Throughout the program, attorneys will spend time assessing and improving their strengths and weaknesses, developing more effective communication and listening skills, and learning how to anticipate the oppositions faced in a challenge. This year’s program will also recognize the unprecedented challenges and opportunities the 2020 program members are facing as their firms and companies pivot to a new reality.

"This is a great honor for Angela. We are thrilled to have her represent the firm in the NAPABA 2020 Leadership Advancement Program and benefit from this valuable experience." —Stephen G. Larson

Larson O'Brien proudly supports our attorneys’ memberships in and involvement with NAPABA. In addition to Angela’s new position in the Leadership Advancement Program, associate Jen C. Won sits on the NAPABA Board of Governors.
