Marketing Coordinator

Larson is seeking a motivated individual who has a client service mindset and is eager to contribute and learn as a Marketing Coordinator. The Marketing Coordinator position provides excellent professional development opportunities and builds upon the fundamentals of marketing, communications, business development, and project management in a fast-paced environment. It also allows the individual to gain a broad knowledge of litigation practices with extensive attorney-facing responsibilities.

The Marketing Coordinator will play an essential role in enhancing the marketing department of a young and growing firm. The marketing department at Larson comprises the firm’s marketing, communications, business development, attorney recruiting, pro bono, and community outreach initiatives. It works closely with firm leadership to strategize and execute all external marketing objectives to increase Larson’s visibility and recognition in the legal industry and community. The marketing department also develops and maintains the firm’s brand, style, and voice consistency across all internal and external marketing and communications.

The Marketing Coordinator will assist the Director of Marketing in providing business and administrative support to the firm’s partners and senior attorneys that is critical to their day-to-day operations, marketing and business development objectives, and long-term growth. Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator will coordinate attorney candidate interviews and the firm’s community outreach initiatives. The position will also support the Office Administrator as needed on firmwide projects, including internal team-building events and programs. In addition to providing necessary administrative support, the Marketing Coordinator will collaborate with the Director of Marketing on new projects and strategies to elevate the firm’s positioning in the industry and community, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Develop and design creative content and graphics for LinkedIn posts, ads, event invitations, a monthly internal newsletter, and other firm materials.
  • Proofread legal ranking and award submissions, pitch materials, client presentations, press releases, email marketing campaigns, and website and LinkedIn posts.
  • Maintain a client relationship management (CRM) system of firmwide professional contacts and a comprehensive database of the firm’s current and historical matters.
  • Plan client-facing, networking, and other professional events; internal team-building and social events; and annual attorney and staff retreats.
  • Coordinate the firm’s mentorship program for first-generation law students.
  • Coordinate and schedule attorney interviews to assist with the firm’s recruitment efforts.
  • Develop a content style guide for the firm.
  • Conduct research on industry data or trends.
  • Collaborate on firmwide initiatives for promoting health, wellness, and community service.
  • Work on general organizational projects to increase productivity and efficiency around the office and throughout various processes.
  • Proactively seek out opportunities to develop skill sets and learn more about legal marketing and the firm’s litigation practices by attending available webinars and appropriate industry events.

Required Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • A can-do, results-oriented, positive attitude—willing to roll up your sleeves and go the extra mile to provide top-notch support.
  • Impeccable proofreading skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to take direction and apply constructive feedback, work independently, manage multiple tasks, meet short- and long-term deadlines, and be proactive in identifying and solving problems.
  • Demonstrated creativity with an eye for design and appreciation for brand consistency.
  • High level of professionalism and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with people at all levels.
  • Extremely reliable, punctual, and flexible.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience creating content for and posting on social media, primarily LinkedIn. Experience following or familiarity with AP style preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud—specifically Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop—and Canva.
  • Experience working in an administrative office position through a full-time, internship, or co-op position.
  • Eager to learn about legal marketing and the legal industry in general, specifically litigation.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, psychology, or another related field of study.
  • 1-2 years of prior professional marketing or administrative experience through a full-time, internship, or co-op position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in legal or other professional services.

Hours and Benefits

  • Non-exempt position. Overtime will be requested.
