Steven Bledsoe is a partner at Larson O'Brien LLP.  His practice focuses on complex, high-stakes litigation, including contract disputes, fraud and business torts, intellectual property, and insurance coverage litigation.

Steven is a senior trial lawyer with more than 25 years of experience. He is known for taking the most difficult witnesses at deposition and on cross-examination at trial. Steven has successfully tried cases before juries, judges, and arbitrators. He has defended corporate clients in a variety of industries, including the aerospace and defense, automotive, consumer wholesale, energy, entertainment, healthcare, food and beverage, software, and financial services industries. Steven was recently recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the "Top Litigators & Trial Lawyers" in Los Angeles. 

Steven has also led high-profile internal investigations, including an internal investigation concerning one of the largest Medicare frauds in U.S. history and an investigation involving tens of millions of dollars in missing investor funds.  

Steven joined Larson O'Brien when the firm opened in 2016. Prior to joining the firm, he was an equity partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and later at Arent Fox LLP.

Steven graduated magna cum laude from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University (BYU), where he was a member of the BYU Law Review.

Representative Matters

  • Won a $15 million arbitration award for an industry-leading distributer of insulated wires and cables following 50 days of arbitration hearings.
  • Won a $10 million jury verdict against the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center.
  • Won a $1 million jury verdict against an insurer in a breach of contract action related to the company's refusal to cover real property damage.
  • Obtained a complete defense verdict for an automotive dealership group after a three-week trial in a multi-million dollar breach of contract and fraud dispute.
  • Won a seven-figure judgment following trial of an attorney fee dispute in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
  • Obtained a complete defense verdict for owners of medical office building after two week arbitration in multi-million dollar breach of contract suit brought by building developer.
  • Obtained summary judgment for a national fast food company, defeating class allegations that the company violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
  • Represented foreign government in international arbitration concerning termination of joint venture agreement, obtaining dismissal of arbitration.
  • Represented foreign government in international arbitration concerning oil and gas dispute with Conoco Phillips.
